PF / EPF Calculator

Estimate EPF corpus from basic, DA, contributions, interest rate, and remaining service years.

Monthly PF wages × emp/empr %; corpus compounds monthly with contributions
Try:

Dearness allowance included in PF wages.

Default 12% from EPFO regulatory pack — editable.

Treated as full corpus contribution (EPS split not modeled).

Assumed rate for projection — edit to match EPFO declaration.

Statutory PF wages often capped; many employers contribute on higher wages.

How it works

PF wages = basic + DA, optionally capped at the regulatory wage ceiling (₹15,000). Employee and employer contributions use pack defaults (12%/12%) unless you override them. Corpus grows with monthly compounding of balance plus contributions — a planning approximation of EPFO interest credit. Employer % is treated as full EPF corpus (EPS 8.33% split not modeled). Estimates only.

Frequently asked
What is EPF?

The Employees’ Provident Fund is a retirement savings scheme for salaried employees in India. Employee and employer contribute a percentage of PF wages; EPFO credits interest annually.

How is PF calculated?

This calculator takes PF wages (basic + DA, optionally ceiling-capped), applies employee and employer contribution percentages, then projects the corpus with an assumed interest rate over the remaining years.

How much PF is deducted from salary?

Typically 12% of PF wages from the employee. Your payslip may use a wage ceiling or a higher voluntary rate — enter the percentages that match your company.

How much EPF will I have after retirement?

The estimated corpus combines your current balance, future employee and employer contributions, and assumed interest. Actual EPFO interest rates and contribution rules can change.

What is employee vs employer PF?

Employee PF is deducted from your salary. Employer PF is an additional contribution (part of CTC). Both usually grow in your EPF account; this tool shows them separately.

Why apply a wage ceiling?

Statutory contributions are often calculated on wages up to ₹15,000/month. Many employers still contribute on higher wages — choose “No” if your policy does that.
