What is a QR Code?

A QR (Quick Response) code is a machine-readable pattern that stores text — most often a website URL. Any modern phone camera can scan it to open a link, a UPI payment prompt, connect to Wi-Fi or save a contact — no typing required.

ilovedigital.in's generator produces standard-compliant QR codes that work with every scanner including Google Pay, PhonePe, WhatsApp and native phone cameras.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you may want to know before you generate your first code.

Is my input sent to a server?
No. Everything is generated locally in your browser — your text, URL or password never leaves your device.
What can I encode into a QR code?
URLs, phone numbers, email addresses, plain text, UPI IDs, Wi-Fi credentials, SMS, WhatsApp messages and vCards.
Why do you enforce character limits per type?
Different QR content types have practical limits — plain text up to 300 chars keeps codes scannable on phones, URLs up to 2048 chars follow the RFC, Wi-Fi SSIDs are capped at 32 by the standard, and so on.
Can I change colours and size?
Yes — pick your own foreground / background colour and choose the pixel size that best fits your poster, sticker or website.
What is the error-correction level?
It controls how much of the QR code can be damaged and still be scannable. L = ~7%, M = ~15%, Q = ~25%, H = ~30% recovery.
PNG or SVG — which should I use?
Use PNG for messaging apps, WhatsApp, websites and screens. Use SVG for print, posters, business cards — it scales infinitely without pixelation.
Is this really free?
Free forever. No signup, no watermark, no ads on the tool itself.
