JPG to PDF Converter — Combine JPG Images into One PDF

Each JPG you add is embedded into the output PDF using pdf-lib’s embedJpg method. This is a direct, lossless embed — the original JPEG bytes are re-used inside the PDF wrapper, so there is no re-encoding step and no quality loss. The page container is then sized either to a standard paper size (A4 or Letter) with the image scaled to fit while preserving aspect ratio, or to the image’s exact pixel dimensions when Fit-to-image mode is selected. Multi-image documents are assembled in the order you specify by reordering the file tiles before you press Convert.

A4 (595 x 842 pt) is the safest default for anything that will be uploaded to an Indian government portal, submitted to a bank or printed on a standard office printer. US Letter (612 x 792 pt) is the equivalent default for North American workflows. If the images will only ever be viewed on screen — for example a portfolio you plan to share on WhatsApp — Fit-to-image is often the best choice because it eliminates whitespace around the photo and creates a cleaner viewing experience.

Orientation is decided automatically: if your image is wider than it is tall the page is set to landscape; otherwise the page stays portrait. This gives you a natural, book-like flow across mixed image sets.

For KYC or address-proof uploads, the standard sequence is: (1) photograph each document under bright, even light with your phone camera; (2) crop the images tightly in your gallery app; (3) drop them into JPG to PDF in the exact order requested (typically identity proof first, address proof second); (4) select A4 page size to match portal expectations; (5) convert and download. The output is usually well under the 5 MB cap that most government portals enforce, and because we do not re-encode the JPEGs, the OCR text on the scan remains crisp.
