Add Header & Footer stamps two customisable text bands — one at the top of every page, one at the bottom — on your PDF. It complements the Add Watermark tool but is designed for professional layouts rather than a diagonal centred stamp.
All processing is 100% client-side. Your PDF is opened inside your browser tab, edited with pdf-lib (and rendered with pdf.js when needed), and saved as a Blob download. Nothing is ever uploaded to any server and closing the tab wipes every working buffer.

Header and footer are independent: leave one empty and only the other is drawn. Each supports its own font size and horizontal alignment (left / center / right). Colour is shared across both for a cohesive look. Margins from the page edge default to a print-safe 20 pt but can be adjusted.
Behind the scenes the tool iterates every page in the PDF and uses pdf-lib’s drawText to place the header and footer as real PDF text objects. That means they render sharply at any zoom, remain selectable and searchable, and add negligible file size. It also means the header/footer are searchable by tools like ATS and enterprise search engines.
Watermark is designed for large, diagonal, semi-transparent stamps (CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT). Header & Footer is designed for smaller, opaque, professional page furniture (company name, version, date). Both tools can be applied to the same PDF for the classic “watermark + footer” combo.
Your files never leave your browser. All parsing, page rendering and PDF assembly happens locally on your device using open-source libraries (pdf-lib and pdf.js). ilovedigital.in cannot see, store or share the contents of your documents.
