About this tool

PDF Page Counter answers a simple but common question: how many pages does this PDF have? Drop as many files as you like and get counts instantly — with size, name and a running total.

All processing is 100% client-side. Your PDF is opened inside your browser tab, edited with pdf-lib (and rendered with pdf.js when needed), and saved as a Blob download. Nothing is ever uploaded to any server and closing the tab wipes every working buffer.

  • For a full-fidelity summary (per-page dimensions, images, fonts) use the PDF Properties Inspector
Why we built a dedicated counter

Every PDF reader will tell you the page count, but opening 20 files one-by-one to note their pages is tedious. This tool batches the workflow: drop a whole folder, get a clean table back. It is especially useful for print bureaus estimating jobs, teachers checking assignment lengths, and anyone auditing large document batches.

How the count is derived

We use pdf-lib’s getPageCount(), which reads the document’s page tree — a structural traversal that does not need to parse content streams. That means counting is essentially free even for PDFs with thousands of pages, and there is no memory pressure on your device.

When to use the Properties Inspector instead

For richer analysis — per-page dimensions, PDF version, embedded font list, encryption status — use the PDF Properties Inspector. Page Counter is deliberately minimal so it stays fast for large batches.

Privacy note

Your files never leave your browser. All parsing, page rendering and PDF assembly happens locally on your device using open-source libraries (pdf-lib and pdf.js). ilovedigital.in cannot see, store or share the contents of your documents.
